Berdasarkan lagu tahun 1984 dengan judul yang sama, dan terinspirasi oleh musik George Michael, film ini dibintangi oleh Emilia Clarke sebagai pekerja toko Natal yang kecewa yang menjalin hubungan dengan seorang pria misterius (Henry Golding) dan mulai jatuh cinta padanya; Emma Thompson dan Michelle Yeoh juga ikut membintangi.
Album soundtrack dirilis dalam bentuk CD, vinyl dua cakram, dan format digital pada 8 November 2019. Album ini berisi 14 lagu Wham! dan lagu solo George Michael.
